{Sadness and Hope in Separation Poems}

by Dion

Life is Sighing
Wind Earth Light
Move together in leaves
Sighs of loneliness born
Life endures by touching
A night bird and a bird of the dawn
Sing to each other
Of water falling and rising
And of our drying tears
They are as sunlight and wet Earth
After the rain
***

What Breathes?
Birth is a thunderstorm in the distance
Life is a slowing of sighing
Death is echoing silence
Everything breathes
***

The Death of my Love
Can I not Love?
No one to Touch
Now
Darkness Stillness Cold.
What prevents Light and Love reaching its destination?
- Each other.
Where is my love? Where is my Light?
Where is my other?
I sit alone at my porch and look at leaves.
Leaves are not as lonely for they touch and caress as they sway.
I have no one to reflect my life with
I weep these tears
For the rest of my life.
***

Each time a heart breaks

an opening

Each time an opening

beams of Light

{Each time I am parted from someone I love}

{we still touch}
